RECEPTION & DINING ROOM
On arrival you were invited to enjoy a welcome drink in our reception area, where comfy sofas are set. Breakfast and dinner can be served in the dining situated on the First floor (Bangzoe INN) Throughout the afternoon and evening a bar is available for those who wish to mix their own drinks. In our adjacent dining room you can enjoy your meals in a more communal and family like atmosphere. We offer Indian, Continental and authentic Bhutanese menu in our hotel.

The “House of Whisky” offers a relaxing environment with a contemporary It offers a feast for the senses with Bhutan made wines and an extensive collection of wines. It blends  local specialty fare for unforgettable tastes. You can explore new wines with your friends and loved ones. The friendly staff will welcome the guests with a warm smile.

MORNING TEA
A traditional Bhutanese custom is for a member of the family to prepare a morning cup of hot Bhutanese milk tea) or suja (butter tea). Please let us know if you would like to be served a morning cup of ngaja or suja in your room.

PICNIC LUNCHES
A picnic is the quint essential Bhutanese experience for families, friends and pilgrims. Customized packed lunches can be arranged for those who wish to spend the entire day exploring Thimphu city or for the journey on to the next day. Please contact a member of our family the day before your excursion to order your picnic.

The laundry service is available. Unless indicated otherwise items will be machine washed,
laundry will be machine washed and returned folded. Laundry will be collected before 8:00 am Please contact a member of our family by dialing extension “9”. The rate for the Laundry & pressing is attached in the last page.

SAFETY BOX
If you have particular goods that require a larger space, please contact a member of our hotel family on extension “9”, who will be able to offer an alternative for you.

FIRST AID BOX
Kindly contact front desk dialing “9’ from your room for assistance, first aid box is available at the front desk.

INTERNET AND WIFI
Our front office team will offer you the wifi password and will be available in your room and entire hotel premises.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
Cholay khangzang housekeeping will service your room every day between 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, if alternative time is preferred please contact front Reception or dial “9”

AIRPORT
The Paro international airport is 65km away and takes 1 hour drive. We suggest that you start you trip to the airport early. in case you required our assistance at the airport or for transfer, please contact the front desk “9’ (charge applicable)

CHECKOUT
All additional incidentals will be collected and presented to you at the last day you will be
staying with us. To ensure a smooth check-out we would recommend you to settle your bills before your departure.

FIRE EMERGENCY GUIDELINES
These general guidelines have been prepared to help you in the event of fire emergency. Please read through them so that you are prepared in the event of such on emergency. (the fire escape plan is on the following page shows all the escape routes from your room) If you sees smoke or feel heat. You should take the following action.

EVACUATING YOUR SUIT

  • You should prepare to leave the building immediately.
  • Take your room key (card) and head for the door. Do not stop to collect you personal belongings. If evacuation takes place at night. Please wear outdoor shoes (not slipper) and wear a jacket for warmth and protection.
  • Do not use lift during the incident, instead take the stairs.
  • Feel your room door with the palm of your hand. If it is hot, do not open it, instead stay in the room and await assistance (see guidelines bellow on “if you get trapped”) If the door is not hot, open the door slowly but be ready to close quickly if necessary.
  • If there is smoke in your room, roll out of bed, on to the floor and crawl to the door. Do not stand because smoke and deadly gas rise. Go to the bath room, wet a towel and place it over your nose and mouth to act as an air filter and to help you breath.
  • After exiting your room, close the door to help stop smoke or fire from spreading and to protect your belongings.
  • Report to the assembly point at open place where a member of our management will hold a roll call. Please do not re-enter the building until you are told by a senior member of staff that it is safe to do so.

IF YOU GET TRAPPED

  • Check if the telephone in your room is working. If it is, tell the guest assistant that you are trapped in the room and await assistance.
  • If the telephone is not working, stay in the room, open the window and try to attract attention by turning the room lights on and off, or waving with the sheet. If you are on the top floor, do not jump out of the window, as you may injure yourself.
  • If you are not present at the roll call, a rescue team will be alerted.
  • Note that there is a fire extinguisher placed on the floor in your room.
  • The above suggestions are intended to offer generally applicable guidelines in the event of fire emergency; However, in the nature of general guidelines, they do not represent the best course of action in every individual situation. It remains the guest’s obligation to assess each individual situation and take the most appropriate action in their own judgment

EXCURSIONS
Bhutan holds many surprises and wonders and offers the discerning voyager much to discover and to do. Enjoy a gentle evening stroll to visit the Simtokha Dzong or experience the stunning pilgrimage are Buddha Dordenma, Folk Heritage Museum, Tashichho Dzong, Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang Touch the spirit of Bhutan while spending a quiet moment in one of the Dzongs or monasteries or expose yourself to the rich cultural traditions and customs from the people of the Last Shangri-la have to offer.
Due to the high altitude, the sun is relatively strong during the summer months and we would therefore recommend you carry sunscreen whenever you are outdoors.
Bhutanese are required to wear their national dress at all times, especially when visiting
monasteries or government bodies, and are proud to do so as it is a reflection of their culture and way of life. This rule does not apply to foreigners; however, admission may be refused if you are wearing clothes that expose your shoulders and legs.

OTHER SERVICES
Blessings and meditations can be arranged in our hotel or one of the Dzongs or Lhakangs around the Thimphu.

Thrisel is a one-hour blessing using holy water to cleanse the mind, spirit and soul under the guidance of a revered lama. As an ample quantity of holy water is used, the warmer months may be preferable.

Tshe-wang is a one-hour ritual to promote a long life. This elaborate ceremony involves ample prayers, mantras and final blessings using a Dorji (Thunderbolt) as well as sacred scriptures touched to the head.

Rimdro is an auspicious full day ceremony performed by 4 – 6 monks to grant a long life,
bestow prosperity, well being and the fulfillment of any personal requests. To a symphony of drums, horns, cymbals and bells, the monks will chant the holy texts and mantras. Your actual presence is only required for a short duration as the blessing continues to flow from morning to night.
